Thursday 22nd August 2019 – 5:30pm
Shahenshai Khordad Sal Jashan & Meal
A Jashan Ceremony to celebrate the birthday of our prophet Zarathushtra will be performed by our Ervad Sahebs followed by a Boi ceremony in the Setayesh Gah.
ZTFE will be welcoming the Parsee Gymkhana Cricket Team to the Zoroastrian Centre for the Khordad Sal celebrations. The Parsee Gymkhana Cricket Team will be arriving in the UK on Sunday 18th August, to play a series of matches commemorating the very first Indian Cricket Team to visit the UK in 1886, which was made up entirely of Parsis. On Friday 23rd August, they will play the Charles Alcock XI for the 1886 Trophy at The Oval Cricket Ground.
A 4 course celebratory meal with dessert, prepared by Zoe Foods will be served afterwards. All are welcome! Meal tokens £12/- per person. Vegetarian option available, please request in advance.
The Shahenshai Khordad Sal function has been made possible by an endowment from the estate of the late Dr Homi R. Pithawala. We are most grateful to the Pithawala family for their generosity.
Kindly register and make payment with the ZTFE Secretariat via email [email protected] or phone on 020 8866 0765 asap.
