We respectfully inform you of the sad demise of the learned, kind and esteemed Mobed Mehraban Khodamorad Firouzgary in Iran around 7pm on Friday 7th March 2025, Day-Be Din ruz Esfand (Sepandaarmazd) mah as per the Iranian Zoroastrian calendar, Ashishvangh roj Meher mah as per the Shahenshai Zoroastrian calendar. Mobed Mehraban was 89 years old. He was born in Yazad on Winter Solstice 21st December 1935 to Mobed Khodamorad Mobed Dinyar Firouzgary and Gohar Mobed Khodadad Shahzadi.
Uthamna prayers will be performed by our Ervad Sahebs at Zoroastrian Centre, London, on Sunday 9th March 2025 at 3.30pm. All are welcome to attend in person at the Zoroastrian Centre or view them livestreamed by clicking on the links below.

Mobed Mehraban Firouzgary was a good friend of the ZTFE, always sending auspicious greeting on Jamsheedi NoRuz, sharing his immense knowledge and guiding us on matters pertaining the Iranian Zoroastrian community. He completed his SSC at Boys Town Nasik, graduated in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from St. Xavier’s Technical Institute, which was affiliated to Bombay University. Soon after graduation Mobed Mehraban was employed as an Industrial Electrical and Electronics Engineer for JN Marshall and Co. Mobed Mebraban was fluent in English, Hindi, Parsi Gujarati and was familiar with Parsi customs and ceremonies. He will be dearly missed by Zoroastrians globally. Many of us in the ZTFE recall him fondly standing besides our ZTFE Patron and Benefactor Mobed Mehraban J Zartoshty when he lit the divo to inaugurate the Eight World Zoroastrian Congress (8WZC) at the Zoroastrian Centre Zartoshty Brothers Hall, nearly 20 years ago on Friday 24th June 2005.
